This is a great way to stretch out muscles and fascia and to desensitize a painful trigger point. A suction gun
is used over a plastic cup to take out the air. This created a pressure gradient and a vacuum is made. Another way of doing cupping is by using a flame to create a pressure gradient with a glass cup. Both techniques are very effective at reducing muscle pain.
The vacuum created on the inside of the cup sucks up the muscles, fascia and skin into the cup. This technique aims to stretch out muscle and
fascia, increase blood flow, removal of waste products and desensitise muscle spasm and trigger points.
